The Ophthalmology Service at AMAH is a dedicated referral service specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disorders affecting the eyelids, adnexa, and all structures of the eye. We provide expert care for referral cases and offer professional advice to veterinary surgeons throughout Hong Kong.

Our team is led by a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ECVO), supported by specialty-trained veterinary nurses and technicians who are experienced in managing patients with complex ophthalmic conditions.

Common Ophthalmic Disorders in Pets

We offer comprehensive consultation, diagnostic, medical, and surgical services for a wide range of ocular diseases, including:

• Retrobulbar disorders
• Keratoconjunctivitis sicca and other tear film abnormalities
• Eyelid disorders (medical and surgical) such as entropion, ectropion, and ptosis
• Nasolacrimal system disorders
• Complicated corneal ulcers
• Advanced corneal surgery (including corneal transplantation and grafting)
• Intraocular surgery (such as lens luxation and cataract surgery)
• Extraocular and intraocular tumors
• Blindness and retinal diseases
• Glaucoma
