Surgical Service

AMAH provides specialist services, including neurology, cardiology, and anesthesia. We have a group of experienced and passionate vet surgeons capable of performing various surgeries recommended for pets.  We work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of veterinarians, nurses, and support staff, aiming to provide the best care and outcome for our patients.

With surgery comes anesthesia, and understandably, many pet owners are concerned about veterinary procedures that require an anesthetic on their dog or cat.   Our anesthetist will assess the patients, customize a suitable GA plan according to the status of the animals, instigate pain management control pre-and post-surgery, and prevent, detect and treat potential complications.  We aim to have our patients feel well and comfortable by discharge.

Our cardiologists would best assess concurrent cardiac conditions before surgery.  Treat, preempt and prevent possible complications by choosing the best anesthetic protocol. Our neurologist will operate on various spinal and other neurosurgical conditions.

Our surgeon can handle:

• Various bone fractures, cruciate surgeries, TTA, TPLO, and THR.
• Soft tissue surgeries, including BOAS, abdominal, urinary tract, gastrointestinal and liver surgery, and thoracic and cardiac conditions.
• Skin and reconstructive surgery.
• Various eye conditions.
