Dr. Phillip C.K. Mak

Dr. Phillip Chi Kin Mak graduated from the veterinary faculty, University of Sydney in 1983 obtained the master’s degree in veterinary science, Murdoch University in 1996. He became a member of the Australian college of Veterinary Scientists in internal medicine (dogs and cats) in 1997.

Dr. Mak first opened his veterinary clinic in 1984 and was later named the Peace Avenue Veterinary clinic (now CityU VMC). He has vast experience in both soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. Having performed many fractures repair, knee and hip surgeries including over a hundred THR.

Dr. Mak is a PennHip certified practitioner. He has attended various orthopedic courses in TTA, TPLO, THR and PGR in Japan, USA and Switzerland. He aims to provide an attentive and caring veterinary service to our furry friends. He likes a regular dose of exercise and love bicycling around in the New Territories. He has kept many dogs since his childhood and currently has four lovely cats at home.
