Dr. Peter Holler

Dr. Peter Holler is a graduate from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, Austria. After obtaining his veterinary degree and gaining scientific experience, he completed his doctoral thesis in biomechanics.

Though biomechanics have always been close to him, his heart & main interest were captured by the field of veterinary cardiology during a rotating internship. This special fascination for cardiology arises from its many facets reflecting multiple aspects of veterinary medicine (e.g., internal medicine, surgery, diagnostic imaging) while requiring close client/owner interaction and collaboration to facilitate optimal life quality for each individual patient even with severe heart disease.

After completing a cardiology residency program with its rigorous demands guided by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) at the University of Munich, Germany, he became an ACVIM board-certified Veterinary Cardiologist in 2014.

He not only gathered insights into all aspects of veterinary cardiology including minimally invasive treatments and interventions but also enjoyed teaching and contributing various scientific publications and lectures to enhance the knowledge base of veterinary cardiology.

Being in Hong Kong for many years now, this passion for cardiology and providing a patient/client centered service lives on untamed and is further fostered teaming up with Dr. Julia Simak-Boehm, a fellow specialist in veterinary cardiology and close friend – both striving to advance the field of veterinary cardiology using state-of-the-art approaches to help animals with heart diseases as well as their owners.
