Dr. Daniel Costa Moya

Dr. Daniel Costa graduated from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in 2009 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. He completed a postgraduate program in Veterinary Ophthalmology, a one-year rota􀆟ng internship in small animal medicine at a private referral hospital, and a Master of Science in Clinical Research. Following this, he worked in general prac􀆟ce and as a scien􀆟fic assistant, earning a PhD degree focused on corneal and scleral cryopreserva􀆟on.

From September 2015 to August 2018, Dr. Costa completed a European College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ECVO) residency in Compara􀆟ve Veterinary Ophthalmology at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of UAB. He achieved the Diplomate status with the ECVO in 2019.

Aferwards, Dr. Costa worked as Head of the Ophthalmology Service at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the University of Valencia (UCV), where he taught veterinary students and practiced clinical ophthalmology. He also held senior clinician positions at Optivet Referrals in Havant (UK) and at the University of Glasgow (UK).

Since relocating to Hong Kong in April 2024, Dr. Costa has been practicing veterinary ophthalmology and is recognized by the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Hong Kong as a specialist in the field.
