Dr. Pierre Nicolas Boyé

Dr. Pierre Boyé graduated from the University of Nantes, France, in 2012. He completed in 2013 one-year National Veterinary Internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Lyon, France. Subsequently, he worked one year as a clinician in Internal Medicine – Emergency - Critical Care at the Small Animal Hospital of the University of Toulouse, France where he developed a strong interest in Oncology.

From 2017 to 2021, Dr. Pierre Boyé performed a 4-year combined Internship in Oncology and ECVIM-CA (Oncology) residency at the Royal (Dick) School of veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. He successfully passed his final examination in 2021 to become a European Board of Veterinary Specialists in Small Animal Oncology.

He then worked as a senior lecturer in several European Academic Centres including

  • the Royal (Dick) School of veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh - UK,
  • the Queen Mother Hospital for Small Animal of the Royal Veterinary College, University of London - UK,
  • the University College of Dublin – Ireland,
  • the Small Animal Hospital of the University of Lyon - France

In addition to running busy clinics seeing cancer patients, he was also responsible for teaching undergraduate students, interns and residents in Oncology.

In addition to his large experience in clinical practice in Oncology, Dr. Pierre Boyé was involved in extensive research projects in veterinary and comparative oncology contributing to international publications and communications. He was awarded the 2018 VCS (Veterinary Cancer Society) Robert S. Brodey Memorial Award and the 2018 ESVONC (European Society of Veterinary Oncology) Wim Misdorp Research Award. His oncology interests include canine lymphoma, novel therapies and cancer biomarkers.

In his spare time, Dr. Pierre Boyé enjoys travelling, going to the gym and spending time with his friends and family.
